Healthcare Of Today, Inc.: Understanding Our Business

Healthcare of Today, Inc.’s business model has two main components: we are a holding company and we use a vertical integration strategy. Our patients and clients benefit from how we are run. Our business strategy allows them to save both time and money, while accessing the best healthcare products and services the industry has to offer them — at any stage of life or health.

ABOUT HOLDING COMPANIES

Healthcare of Today is a network of related businesses. In simple terms, Healthcare of Today acts as a parent to a large family. Each separate company underneath the canopy of our management is guided by the philosophy and direction of HOTI executives and its Board of Directors. While the underlying companies are wholly owned as subsidiaries, they maintain their respective business functions and operate as individual units. So the benefit is that in addition to being an independent business, they are now networked into a whole range of companies from which they can seek additional resources, partnerships, and professional insight from colleagues at the highest levels of various industries.

ABOUT OUR CHOICE OF HOLDINGS

Healthcare of Today is positioned in a number of exciting growth industries. The fact that we are a holding company allows our shareholders to be part of a number of business sectors all at once. While each of our companies strives to be a leader in its category, our diversified portfolio of companies ensures that we are not dependent on any one industry – or business – for success.

ABOUT VERTICAL INTEGRATION

Healthcare of Today, Inc. (“HOTI”) uses a vertical integration management strategy. This system of management is highly effective for our business model. Our network of businesses have many natural parallels and by synthesizing their strengths and abilities, we are able to perform most efficiently. As we strive to be the largest healthcare network, the strategic similarities of our companies allow us to make fantastic use of this business model.

Here’s a simple example:
Healthcare of Today has within its network nursing schools, nurse staffing companies, and healthcare facilities. By networking these companies, we do not have to outsource central functions. Nursing students may be more attracted to the nursing school for its relationships to many organizations where they might intern (which is, notably, a big concern and the downfall of many nursing schools- the lack of space to practice their profession). The students also have access to companies that may assist them in finding jobs.

And the relationships are mutually beneficial – they go both ways. In this example, our nursing staffing companies have ready access to highly qualified nursing or medical staff candidates. They also have facility clients that need staffing on a regular basis, so they can coordinate those placements, saving the healthcare facilities significant money and time on the placement process.

We feel there are a number of benefits to our vertical integration model, including:
  • lower transaction costs, which often means lower costs for patients
  • ability to easily synchronize supply & demand — we can provide the care patients need, when they need it
  • certainty in business partners; shared mission and value set from the start — our clients can believe in a consistently high quality of care across our network
  • distribution of tasks for increased efficiency — by having a network of businesses, each company avoids having to “reinvent the wheel” or duplicate services another business in our family can easily provide
  • opportunity to expand core competencies — individual companies can specialize in what they do best

Each of Healthcare of Today’s companies are handpicked because they set ambitious goals for their success, while prioritizing excellent healthcare products and services. They are supported by their colleagues in our family of businesses as well as our executive team every day as they proceed with these missions. And we feel the results really speak for themselves.

At Healthcare of Today, we believe that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.
